"Journal-to-Win" is a web-based program designed to help young adults succeed in every aspect of their lives.
 
Available in a format for computers, ipods, and iphones, and hosted by both PC's and MAC's, this interactive journal writing program is designed to address major problems facing young adults all across the nation, using the electronic technology they prefer. Individual privacy assured.
 
National crisis areas addressed in "Journal To Win" at this time:
Alcohol and substance use;
Obesity and weight issues.

"Kenyon launches pilot program to fight binge drinking, eating

 
Gambier - ...The "Journal to Win" pilot program will lead students through a Web-based journal writing process. The students will start by writing in response to prompts from a dedicated website. The site will include two modules for the pilot program: Life Choices, tailored to the issues of irresponsible drinking/substance abuse, and Body Image, examining unhealthy eating practices/low self-esteem. Under each module are channels with prompts grouped by subjects to point students in various directions, such as examining one's history, habits, family, goals and how drinking and eating issues are woven through them...
 
"The [Kenyon] pilot program will feature 50 students - a mixture of volunteers and referrals from Kenyon's student counselors - journaling for two months. Seventeen other colleges and universities will participate, with several others waiting in the wings to hear about how the program does.
